Not as good as it should be
The Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular is very popular, with large crowds and sell-outs over the past few years. Newport has not adapted to the sellouts, reducing the pleasure of attending the event. Seating at the smaller venues (Harbor stage and inside the Quad stage) is almost impossible to find, as Newport has not increased seating capacity sufficiently for these stages. Arriving very early for the performance is necessary to see an act. This year, Newport removed half of the seating space in front of the main stage, reserving it for standing and dancing. This change makes it very difficult to secure a good "seat" for the main stage.
It is not worth fighting the crowds or the unfortunate policies of the Newport organizers to see the performers when they perform. Next year, I'll probably stay home or just go for one day. I'll attend other festivals that do a better job instead.
